Kung Fu Panda 1 1/2 submitted by Ying Zh on July 1, 2011, 9:08pm I think this movie is pretty interesting how we look at the pasts of the furious five. I didn't like this movie as much as the actual movie but this graphic movie was also pretty interesting.

pretty good for what it is submitted by FordAlpha on August 29, 2019, 10:07pm it's a direct-to-video release, so expectations are not high; but it's not bad for that. It's a nice idea to fill in the backstories of Po's colleagues/mentors, the Furious Five. There's a frame story about Po teaching beginning Kung Fu students, which is depicted in computer animation, while the stories about the Five are told in traditional animation, similar to the opening of "Kung Fu Panda", where Po is making up a story about himself and the Furious Five. This use of hand-drawn animation for the backstories is a nice touch. Jack Black returns as Po and Dustin Hoffman as Master Shifu, but most of the other characters are not voiced by the actors from the original film. It's important to note that this is a short film, not a feature-length movie. My kids love "Kung Fu Panda" and enjoyed watching this supplemental video.
