Dark Electronica submitted by Meginator on August 29, 2020, 1:58pm Like The Prodigy’s other albums, this has a darker edge to it, consisting of electronic music clearly influenced by alternative rock and metal. The combination is energetic and effective, though these tracks lack the anthemic sensibility of the group’s earlier hits. Nonetheless, The Prodigy seem possessed by a raw, driving power and a desire to innovate captured by their incorporation of 8-bit and other unexpected sounds into their typical style. Each track has a lot going on, but in a good way, and the overall experience is a powerful one.
