Pointless remake

This remake takes itself way too seriously, which results in a poorly paced, boring film. The end of the film is so anti-climatic. Very disappointing.

not bad

not bad for a remake... just not as good as the original

Not as Good As the Original

This movie replaces the mystery of the spaceman by having telling us a lot about him. In addition the message of the movie went from a nuclear war warning to a heavy handed environmental message.
