Charming submitted by willow on July 25, 2016, 12:45pm This is a very charming movie, from a truly different era.

Louisa Ginglebusher is an orphan who is old enough to leave the caring orphanage in which she has been raised to do a daily good deed; she is placed in a job as an "usherette" in a movie theater. She is so innocent she gets herself in a muddle involving a lecherous older man who wants to shower her with gifts. As she tries to extricate herself, and do good deeds, she gets herself in a muddle. The movie has lots of jokes and a wonderful performance as a repulsive, blustering "sugar daddy" type by Frank Morgan, famous for playing the Wizard in the Wizard of Oz.

It is also interesting to see tips from the past on how aggressive men could be handled and thwarted.
