COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Le petit Nicolas est chouette! submitted by Vienna Carinthia on June 15, 2013, 8:31pm The adventures of little Nicolas, his family and friends are just hilarious to read and always make me laugh. The French of the book is not too difficult. After all, those are stories of a little boy, so the language is rather simple, the vocabulary limited and easy to understand also for someone who speaks/reads French as a second language on a slightly advanced level.

Little Nick (le petit Nicolas) is an icon in France - and rightfully so. The author, Goscinny, also is the co-creator of the graphic novels of "Asterix" another French icon. The drawings by Sempe are rich in subtle humor - just check out the details.

If you think about reading a book in French, this is definitely a must-read.
