COMMUNITY REVIEWS

From a Non Fantasy Lover submitted by monkk on August 3, 2009, 6:21pm I never read the book and put off seeing the movie for quite awhile, even after friends who know my tastes suggested it to me. Well, I finally watched it and I loved it. The "making of" documentary is a huge bonus as well, and after watching it I wanted to watch the movie again. I enjoy movies that are fun and light, and while there certainly are some dark moments, overall this was the perfect movie for me. And while I often get accused of having tastes that are too "girly" I have male friends who liked it just as much!

Twilight (movie) submitted by esfahana on August 14, 2009, 2:12pm I read all four books before watching the movie. The movie was good, but at times it was a little boring because there was only soft music and talking. I think that the book was so long that in the movie, they couldn't add enough details. Basically it was a good movie. And I highly recommend the books to anyone who wants a wonderful adventure.

Bad submitted by Daniel Saltzman on March 13, 2010, 2:59pm Totally predictable, poorly executed, and based on a mediocre book, Twilight the movie is your typical heart-throb movie. If you want a really good series about vampires, watch Hellsing, not this junk.

Baseball submitted by pandangel12 on June 25, 2011, 9:50am I like the baseball scene becuase it was so intense and interesing!

what joy thinks submitted by joiemma on July 1, 2011, 5:19pm this movie was good. it made me want to see the rest of the series

Enjoyable Movie submitted by jarroyo on July 14, 2011, 12:37pm I thought this movie was entertaining. I think the book was better, but they did a good job following the book. It would have been nice to have more of the book included in the movie, but to keep it from getting too long they did a good job.

Improves upon the book, IMO submitted by cherylo on July 14, 2011, 5:43pm I am not exactly the target audience for this movie or the book it is based on, but I enjoyed both. I feel the movie improved upon the book, if only because it had to cut down the bickering between Bella and Edward to fit in the allotted time. A fun bit of fluff with a side of eye candy.

bull submitted by ajeisman on July 22, 2011, 6:39pm this movie is crap

it's fine... submitted by lekendrick on June 3, 2012, 12:31pm the love story harken back days gone as unfolds I've take only as a single film & it's a style to it enjoyable, but dialog involved fore shadows most serious issue the series this tempting usually uplifting subject matter such as love once again, but for physical & implied material wealth you'll blah or it's basis against many hazard!

Overrated submitted by SBNB on June 19, 2012, 10:40pm If you want mind-numbing entertainment, go ahead and watch it. But be warned, the acting (especially by Stewart) is bad. She actually ruined the movie for me. I would have mildly liked the movie if it would not have been for her horrible acting. Other than that, vampires? Meh. It's just an overrated high school love story.

Awesome Movie submitted by Dayoung Nam on July 26, 2012, 9:37am This movie is very romantic, but I liked it very much, because
the book was pretty addictive and I'm not sure, but I was just DRAWN
to the movie.. How come EVERYBODY who tagged here all hated it?
I'm pretty sure everybody here just tagged cause they want to get some
points for their summer games and didn't care about wat they said.
I REALLY ENJOYED THIS MOVIE AND I RECOMMEND IT TO YOU
AND YOU SHOULD WATCH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK submitted by alumeng.ajl on August 1, 2012, 5:00pm The movie was OK. The book is much better. One of the biggest problems is the acting.

A Fan submitted by kathleen824 on August 13, 2012, 12:52pm As an adult watching this movie I was transported back to high school and teenage angst. I could relate to Bella's character. She was withdrawn and moody and understandably so. Not knowing how she fit in to this new world she is drawn to another withdrawn and moody character, Edward. Complications arise, as expected. Enjoyed watching with my daughter. The movie gave us much to talk about.

Funny submitted by crazypockets on June 19, 2013, 6:46pm I hate to write another bad review of this series, so I'll try to be more positive on this one. I think it has really good cinematography and the soundtrack is edgier than expected. And it has its own humor to it if you're looking to just laugh at something incredibly cheesy, in my opinion. But it's still a disturbing "love" story with zero respect for its own female protagonist.

This Movie was OK submitted by Josie Brown on July 6, 2013, 10:58am I'm not really a fan of vampires and this movie didn't make me a fan. Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) scared me. She didn't show much emotion throughout the movie, which made me suspect that she's a robot. Edward Cullen is just creepy. That is all I have to say about this movie.

Twilight submitted by honordenver on July 9, 2013, 12:49pm Never read the book so i couldnt compare. The movie didnt make me want to read the book either.

Yawn!! submitted by JoCeAn on July 12, 2018, 10:07pm I have read the books and the movies were worse. Poor acting and not much of a story.

Great movie submitted by melissahimich on July 15, 2018, 9:29pm I think they did a great job casting for this movie and following the book.

Good movie submitted by menmen on July 17, 2018, 5:49pm The movie is really good, and I am surprised by the amazing effect it has. And so, I kept watching this serie of movie once I find it several months ago.

Just ok submitted by Smileyfrowns on August 20, 2018, 11:36pm Not as great as the books. I think there was a certain level of emotion that needed to be portrayed by Bella that wasn't all the way there in this first film!

No Thanks (x2) submitted by elizabeth mayhew on August 23, 2018, 12:29am 122 minutes of my life I'll never get back.

Okay submitted by c_zhang on June 30, 2019, 4:32pm The acting was bad, and the movie moved really slow.

Yes submitted by autumnmist on August 15, 2019, 3:33am One of my favorites.

average submitted by yufamily on August 18, 2019, 4:01pm Nice story

I Like This Movie Too submitted by Shaylane Webb on October 17, 2020, 5:31pm Twilight The First One Rocks Because I Love Robert Pattinson Playing Edward Cullen And I Like Kristen Stewart Playing Bella Swan But I Miss Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart Being Together I Wish They Have Should Stayed Together For A Long Time.

twilight forever submitted by zaraz on August 5, 2022, 4:31pm I was a Twilight fan as a tween/teen and rewatching it as an adult is so much fun! this series has gotten a lot of hate over the years but personally I think its really entertaining and fun, no matter if you're consuming it seriously or laughing at how cheesy/corny it is. either way, it will forever be a classic in my book.

Perfect movie submitted by jolietimm on June 28, 2023, 7:02pm While it may be kind of hilariously bad, this is one of my favorite movies of all time. It's easily quotable and a fun watch if you're willing to put aside any reservations you may have about it.
