Anne and Mary Boleyn submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on July 28, 2013, 10:56pm Most people do not realize that before he married Anne Boleyn, England's King Henry VIII had an affair with her married sister, Mary, and had two children with her, Catherine and Henry (although Henry never officially acknowledged either of them and they were officially Mary's husband's children).

"The Other Boleyn Girl," is based on the novel of the same name by Philippa Gregory about this affair and Mary's subsequent life from Mary's perspective.
