COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Teeth filed sharp and eyes glowing red submitted by pkooger on May 25, 2011, 10:42am A fun interpretation of the music of one of my favorite films. I won't say I liked every single song *ahemKorn*, but most of them were pretty cool.

Variety submitted by chowcy on July 12, 2012, 1:01pm I like both the movie's music and many of the artists who contributed to this album. It's definitely very fun, and each band brings a different sound to it because each contributor specializes in different genres. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and anyone who loves the movie should listen to this.

A Lot of Good Fits submitted by Meginator on August 26, 2020, 4:12pm This tribute/cover album is an excellent example of the form, with each artist incorporating the original soundtrack’s darkness into their versions of these beloved songs, yet staying true to their own style. This works better for some artists (Marilyn Manson, Korn, Flyleaf, Amy Lee) than others (the Plain White T’s go straight indie on “Poor Jack”, and the result is rather cloying), but some of the contributors that seem less like natural fits are excellent (Rise Against’s “Making Christmas” is also a highlight). The best track may be the Yoshida Brothers’ “Nabbed”, an instrumental that fully embodies the film’s unique visual spirit; I’d love to hear what they’d do with the whole soundtrack. All in all, this is one of the better tribute compilations I’ve heard, tweaking iconic source material and adding new perspectives to it.
