unusual things submitted by mwallagm on July 8, 2011, 6:27pm for harajuku25:
It's probably kinda late but some unusual things are that the same day repeats over and over again...
and maybe that Anastasia has been there forever...
anyway, it is a super good book!
read it on your eleventh birthday:)

11 Birthdays submitted by kylahyatt on August 17, 2013, 1:02pm This book is similar to a lot of other books about days repeating over. I still enjoy this book as well as Finally and 13 Gifts.

Great series submitted by gracej on August 30, 2013, 11:17am This was a great series of books, mostly realistic fiction but with just enough fantasy to keep you interested. All three books take place in the little town of Willow Falls, a strange town where nothing is quite how it seems.

The first book, 11 Birthdays, starts out with two characters named Amanda and Leo. They used to be best friends, but since their tenth birthday party they have been in a fight. Now it is their eleventh birthday, and something mysterious happens. The next day is their birthday all over again. Amanda and Leo have to work together to figure out what’s going on.

The second book, 12 Finally, is about a girl named Rory who can’t wait to turn 12. She will finally be able to do all sorts of things that she couldn’t do when she was 11. But when she actually is 12, she learns it’s not as cool as she thought it was going to be. Odd things start to happen whenever she tries to do all the things she is now allowed to do. She meets Amanda, Leo, and a bunch of other very odd people, and they help her realize what is more important than being 12.

The third book, 13 Gifts, is probably my favorite book in the series. It is exciting right from the beginning, when Tara, a girl who mostly keeps to herself as a result of moving so much, is suspended from her school for trying to steal the principal’s goat and spraying him with a can of pepper spray. She is forced by her parents to go visit her aunt and uncle’s house in Willow Falls for the summer. There she becomes involved in an odd mission for an odd lady. She has to collect 13 random objects from all around town before her 13th birthday. Amanda, Leo, Rory, and some of their friends help her, and at the end there is a big surprise where Tara learns a lot about her family and herself.

I really liked these three books. They were really compelling; the kind of books that you can’t stop reading, and there were really funny parts too. I would recommend them just about anybody who’s looking for a really good new series to read.

Groundhog day for kids submitted by cdeucher on July 12, 2023, 9:28am Amanda and Leo have been best friends since they were born. But then on their tenth birthday they have a fight and now on their eleventh birthday they have a chance to get it right and become friends again. The day unfolds over and over until all the pieces fall into place.
