A Great Read! submitted by pamhockey25 on June 30, 2012, 3:29pm Dixie Hemingway is not your average pet sitter. She's a former deputy who withdrew from society after a major tragedy. The series is about her reconnecting to people, and each book follows her journey. The pet sitting aspect of the story is interesting, the situations she finds herself in keep you turning the pages. This installment finds Dixie caught up with a new friend who appears to be running from an abusive relationship, and caring for a service dog belonging to a child undergoing surgery for seizures. Blaize Clement has a way with words. I'm enjoying Dixie and the recurring characters who are being introduced. I can't wait to read the next one.
