For shame Terry Moore

As a big comic enthusiast I was looking forward to this series of books for the artwork and to take a break from typical comic topics.
The short of it is that I could barely finish the book. The writing was so terribly trite and poorly done that turning each page was painful. At first I thought the writer just didn't know how to write male characters (as they were all stereotypical, emotionless dbags), but then I started to realize the female characters were written even worse...not only does one of the two female "heroines" resort to attempted suicide in the first 20 pages after being broken up with by her boyfriend (while the other female lead is merely perpetually depressed)...but there's a line on nearly every other page implying or explicitly stating how men and only men are the cause to all of the problems of these two attractive women in their mid-to-late twenties.
I guess this is to explain the eventual lesbianism of the characters? Heaven forbid they were actually born that way rather then being driven to it by a few bad relationships...
For some reason, the female characters seems to end up nude or in a state of undress every couple of pages (but be ready for a whole lot of eye-rolling at how unrealistic the situations are to explain it)...at least the art isn't bad.
Maybe this is a book merely for female man-hating readers, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. There are so many things wrong with this storyline and the narrative direction the writer takes that it's surprising this is a continuing series. For some reason we are supposed to empathize with the two main female characters, and yet they seem like genuinely terrible people...it's hard to enjoy a book written that way.
And oh yeah, one of the two female leads is named Katchoo... *facepalm*
1 star for attractive artwork.
