Harry's fourth year at Hogwarts is marked by the Quidditch World Cup and the Triwizard Tournament, in which student representatives from three different wizarding schools compete in a series of increasingly challenging contests. However, Voldemort's Death Eaters are gaining strength and create the Dark Mark - giving evidence that the Dark Lord is ready to rise again. In the unsuspecting lives of the students at Hogwarts, the competitors are selected by the goblet of fire, which this year makes a very surprising announcement: Hogwarts will have two representatives in the tournament, including Harry. Now Harry has to rise to the challenge for the Tri Wizard Tournament while keeping up with school.

I love it submitted by ljq on July 19, 2011, 10:13am This movie is awesome!

movie submitted by readingking on July 26, 2011, 5:38pm good movie

Awesome submitted by marisal on July 29, 2011, 11:01am Supper dupper amazing!

Read the books first submitted by ferdoble on August 2, 2011, 5:43pm These are ok. I was hard on them at first because of the corny computer animation and what I thought were bad decisions on what to put in (and I still feel that way). Not to mention that its hard to find good actors in the 10 and 11 range.

But the movies get better and better and all the way to being pretty good. To the point where I now look forward to watching the last of them. Well, not really looking forward to the last of them, it was too sad a book for me to really want to see the movie.

If I can say one thing it’s that you should read the books first. The real magic is in those books, I think that you’ll miss out on a lot if you do it the other way round.

And neither of the actors playing Dumbledoor got it right. I’m not sure if a human could, but neither one of them even got close.

Good, but read the books first submitted by jkl on August 10, 2011, 4:23pm You should really read the books first, it will let you imagine things on you own! I really liked this movie it was one of the better ones in the series, with a great plot (duh), decent special effects and really good acting. Seemed like some of the important parts were missing but it's kinda hard to fit everything in.

Awesome!! submitted by 0liviap0pp on August 14, 2011, 8:07am Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is great!

Amazing submitted by mysterio on June 27, 2012, 5:01am It's not everyday a movie series comes along that mixes magic, action, friendship, and ... Quidditch. The Harry Potter movies do all that and more, delighting fans of J.K. Rowling's books while also entertaining those new to the Potterverse. Like the books, the movies do get darker and more intense as the series progresses, so make sure your little Harry, Ron, and Hermione fans are ready for each new chapter before moving on.

Goblet of Fire submitted by SBNB on July 1, 2012, 5:25pm GOF is a good movie. Some details from the book are omitted (while the challenges are focused on), but that can be expected when the book is so long. Overall, thumbs up.

Nice submitted by leehannah on June 21, 2013, 1:36pm I personally thought this movie was cool and fun to watch. If you're a harry potter fan, I definitely recommend watching it! But it may be a little scary for some, so be aware.

Interesting submitted by jangmikyoung on June 21, 2013, 1:37pm I thought this movie was interesting, along with the others in the series. I loved the books and the movies were also fun to watch.

harry potter submitted by a2sue on July 16, 2013, 7:40pm I didn't care for any of the movies so I decided not to check out the books

um submitted by Lizzy on August 9, 2013, 7:03pm kinda disappointing. TERRIBLE special effects

Agree - Read the books first submitted by ssmyth on July 16, 2016, 7:30pm I agree the books are so much more detailed and amazing, but the movies are also so well done! If you don't want to read the books, be sure to watch the movies in order.

scary but fun submitted by JulieCraig on July 20, 2018, 10:30pm Exciting movie, visually appealing. A little scary but a lot of fun to watch.

Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire submitted by lstorc on August 6, 2018, 12:16am Cinematic joy!

Magical submitted by anacoluthon on August 20, 2018, 1:27am It was really fun to see the World Cup and Triwizard Tournament come to life!

Great addition to the series! submitted by Xris on August 26, 2018, 1:03am I'm so sad that they didn't make this into two movies, because I missed all the great stuff from the Quidditch World Cup that was in the book. It's eye-opening that there are other magical schools in the world and that they can join together for the Tri-Wizard Cup. So sad at the end.

not the best of the movies submitted by camelsamba on June 22, 2019, 10:57pm I did not like how the tri-wizard tasks were changed for the movie. For example, Harry's extended dragon flight over the grounds of Hogwarts served no real purpose in advancing the plot.

This is not like the book submitted by Gamera on August 18, 2021, 3:32pm This movie is not like the book.

Worth the watch! submitted by Abbie D. on June 29, 2022, 10:45am I'd say Goblet of Fire is the least like the books, the director definitely took creative liberties. There were several scenes added that weren't needed and several scenes cut that were. Overall it is a good movie and a must watch as it sets the plot of the final three movies up. Just don't go into it expecting the book.

Best adaptation of the series submitted by caburr47 on June 18, 2023, 8:36am For me this was the best book to movie adaptation of the entire Harry Potter series. They kept the essence and plot of the book in tact where in other films some key elements from the books were omitted and that detracted from the film, I don't feel that happened here. It is an adventure, drama, awkward teen romance, sci fi thriller all wrapped up into one.

Great submitted by tarzan5411 on July 25, 2023, 12:51pm A little different from the book but overall great and detailed harry potter movie.
