Mermaid submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on July 23, 2013, 11:43pm This is a fantastic movie about a mermaid trapped in our world and the residents of an apartment complex who help her. Like most of M. Night Shyamalan's movies it has strange twists and an unlikely premise that nonetheless makes for a great film.

The movie centers on the story of the apartment complex's superintendent who rescues a woman from the swimming pool. It turns out that the mermaid needs the help of many people, including seven sisters, a strong bodyguard and a healer, to get her back to her home and save her from those who want to kill her first. Those who are afraid of wolves should avoid this movie.

The film also has a touching message about recovering from tragedy, and the drive to improve the world no matter what the cost.
