Enjoyable submitted by markwells on July 19, 2019, 3:34pm The bad guy is creepily evil and the violence is cringe-worthy, The story is quite captivating. Good movie though the ending dangled there leaving me perplexed-which is not always a bad thing. Grade: A-.

A fairly ordinary plot but deadly skewed. Fantastic!! submitted by ccrose on August 26, 2019, 6:05pm Tommy Rae Jones is sherif f in desolate part Texas. A psychopath goes to work tracking down a guy who stumbled upon a drug deal gone very bad.The fellow sees a briefcase with the drug money, and struggles, with himself, takes the case.. He knows this will be dangerous..
Javier Bardem relentlessly tracks, killing people on the way, after he tosses a coin, makes the victim call the toss. Creepy.
Big part of story are the many times Llewelyn barely stays ahead. As crime movies do, killing is the bottom line. Tommie Rae Jones can’t divert the final killing.
Coen brothers are often on the side of unnecessary killing as a theme.

So Good submitted by jibkidder on July 28, 2022, 9:03pm The meeting of the Coens, of whom I like some movies and dislike others, and Cormac McCarthy, whose books I never want to read, results in an absolute masterpiece. The reduction in background music is something I very much appreciate. I would pay 400 dollars for software that removes the scores from movies.
