I will Surprise My Friend! submitted by r-chopra on July 14, 2011, 9:38pm Its really a very good book. When first time I read this book with my 5 years old boy, he was so happy. He said ,"Mom , lets read this book again and again."

Only because of these "elephant and piggie " characters my son has started to love books.

Any of them is a great choice for reading practice with a kid who is learning to read. This one has a simple, giggle-inducing plot: both Gerald and Piggie plan to surprise the other by jumping out of hiding, not realizing that they are waiting, concealed, on opposite sides of the same rock. Predictably, Gerald becomes deeply worried about his friend, while cheerful Piggie is unconcerned. This is an early-reader that your kid will actually want to read.
