A new beginning submitted by indyp03 on December 1, 2008, 9:05am In the preface the author states that this book is the beginning of a three book story arc. However, there are alot of previous plot points and character developments that come home to roost for our heroine in this book. It didn't feel like a new beginning to me in so much as a refreshing look at all the problems our characters face. While the narrative remains light and the pacing is familiar to the other books in this series, the difference was in the characters themselves. I liked the fact that there was some introspection and some long term consequences to the decisions and stories that have come before. While I read this series specifically because it is funny and lighthearted in a gruesome sort of way, the course plotted in this book invigorates the characters without ruining what appeals to loyal fans of the series.
