Run of the Hills submitted by Meginator on August 27, 2022, 10:06pm This album of old-time string band music features North American folk songs in several styles, with a rotating set of string instruments. The quartet plays well together and brings these songs to life, although the album does have a sense of precision to it that feels slightly at odds with the style; the notes are correct but some of the soul seems to be missing. Nonetheless, this is an enjoyable collection of folk music played well and it makes for a nice, relaxing throwback.
