COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Parent Warning submitted by britain on February 3, 2010, 6:38am The main feature, the Chuck-Jones produced "Horton Hears a Who," is pretty terrific.

Parents should know: one of the bonuses on the disc is the 1942 Merrie Melodies adaptation of "Horton Hatches the Egg," which features a particularly shocking moment of cartoon violence. Here it is on YouTube so you can watch for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9G5g1H08EhY

UPDATE: For the reviewer above: I said the main feature WAS PRETTY TERRIFIC. The extras feature a SUICIDE BY GUNSHOT. Avoid them.

Wonderful submitted by Daniel Saltzman on February 6, 2010, 4:57pm A movie is measured by how good it is, not, as seemingly indicated below, by the bonus features saddled with the disc. Horton Hears a Who is a classic children's tale that is appropriate for any age and contains a valuable message. Obviously, if you dig deep enough into any children's tale, you'll find darker origins, but that doesn't mean we ban kids from singing "Ring around the rosey".

Hilarious submitted by tomiwa on July 3, 2011, 10:58am A very funny movie.
