This is Such a Cute Series!

I have fallen in love with this series from the moment I read the first few pages. I had first seen the Taiwanese drama, Hanazakarino Kimitachihe, nearly a year and a half before picking up the manga. (I was actually startled at how well the Taiwanese drama followed the manga...it's worth checking out, by the way. Very cutesy and over-the-top-comedy in places, but still very sweet. English subs can be found on youtube or veoh).

The series is about a girl named Mizuki Ashiya who sees a TV program about the Japanese high-jumper Izumi Sano. She greatly admires him, and decides to disguise her gender and enter an all-boys high school in Osaka to be near to him. As you can imagine, all sorts of comedic and complicated situations arise from this, making for a very enjoyable read.

It's a light-hearted manga that makes you laugh at times while touching your heart at others. Definitely worth the read for anyone who enjoys shojo manga.
