Pattern printing software submitted by ssands on June 26, 2015, 3:34pm I didn't have time to make a garment using the software. You input your measurements and the software prints out a pattern for you instead of you having to trace off a pattern by interpolating between sizes on a commercial pattern. It's a cool idea and could mean you'd never have to buy another pattern. It doesn't seem to take all kinds of alterations into account, just fairly basic ones. For instance, it wouldn't change the pattern differently between a full bust and a large ribcage. So for some people it would probably still require alterations. I was put off by the photos of the completed garments. I don't know if the samples were made with cheap fabric, slightly ill-fitting (a bad sign), or if the styles are just 20 years out of date, but the photos just looked wrong. I feel like they are probably photographed in the best possible way for a book like this, so my own efforts probably would be worse.

Pattern software submitted by obrien1988 on August 27, 2016, 7:24pm I'd forgotten the Library had this software available. I paid $40 for an online single pattern for a difficult to fit person, I wished I'd remembered the Library had similar software for free.
