A good read submitted by kathscot on July 18, 2012, 8:10am Diana Wynne Jones always spins a good story.

Wrapping Up submitted by srahman on August 24, 2015, 6:39pm Nice way to wrap the Howl's Moving Castle series.

Great submitted by anacoluthon on July 11, 2018, 10:41am It was wonderful to read about Howl in his truest, most dramatic form.

Beautiful Writing submitted by Lisa Groh on July 6, 2023, 2:29pm Diana Wynne Jones spins a beautiful tale with wonderfully descriptive imagery. Such a unique story that many people will find themselves represented in. I also recommend listening to the audiobook, which is great fun on long roadtrips or when you're bored.

house of many ways submitted by saphirahogan on July 13, 2023, 4:41pm whimsical, magical, and utterly heartfelt. if only charmain and peter had been a tiny bit better but i just wanted to strangle them both half of the time. 4/5 stars

Magical submitted by Diananana on July 18, 2023, 5:40pm Charmain, the protagonist, lives in the kingdom of High Norland. Growing up, her mother kept her from learning any practical skills, so Charmain spends her days reading. That is, until she is recruited to take care of her great-uncle's house while he is away. Great-Uncle William is also known as Wizard Norland. Taking up residence in his magical house, Charmain has to confront her deficiencies and discover her talents. Like the preceding books in the series, there are plenty of surprising plot twists and questions about the motivations of all the characters. I was a bit disappointed that a few loose ends were not resolved. Overall, it's a charming book.
