COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Ugh submitted by KidBlue on October 27, 2013, 6:54pm I am a huge Dylan fan, but this film is very pretentious. Artsy fartsy, having several people play Dylan, and it occasionally portrays things about him, but ultimately, "Nothing is revealed." The soundtrack is pretty good, though, the library has that, check it out and give it a listen. For a Dylan movie, check out the much maligned Masked and Anonymous. It's brilliant.

Blanchett is a standout submitted by AGAPHD on June 21, 2020, 12:04pm Cate Blanchett is delightful as Dylan. The soundtrack is also quite good.

Weird and not quite wonderful submitted by mandevil on June 30, 2021, 10:03pm Very disparate elements that don’t quite add up
Believe the title

Inventive submitted by brooksza on July 31, 2022, 3:53pm One of the more inventive movies I can remember. I wish I knew more about Bob Dylan because I'm sure so many references went over my head. I'm sure this would be a good pairing with Rolling Thunder Revue.

Really good performances, especially Cate Blanchett ("woah that's Cate Blanchett"). Each story was unique with thought-provoking connective tissue. The music was obviously excellent even if I'm not a huge Dylan fan.

"Goin' to Acapulco" was my favorite musical scene.
