Eye opening speculative fiction submitted by mowjac on July 23, 2018, 12:12pm This collection proves why Octavia Butler won a MacArthur genius grant--the title story still blows my mind many years later with its audacity that turns my worldview upside down. The author's comments after each story are a bonus, particularly when she writes about race.
