Worth a Try submitted by AprilCDB on June 25, 2015, 3:17pm I finished reading this book and then a week later while we were home for four days, just put my 37 month old son in big boy underpants and let him have accidents. We had no success over those 4 days, but I learned some things about my son and his habits that I passed onto his teachers when he returned to school. When I picked him up in the evening, I was told he was successful with training that day and he’s been doing great ever since. I wouldn’t necessarily say the book helped, it just reinforced for me to 1) make sure my son truly was ready to use the potty and 2) just letting him have accidents and cleaning up behind him was a necessary evil. If you’re stressed out about potty training, I think reading this book might help you feel better and might give you some ideas and insight into trying something different that will help your child be successful.
