Sookie Stackhouse
submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on August 15, 2013, 12:32pm
In her eighth Southern vampire mystery novel, Charlaine Harris continues the story of psychic waitress Sookie Stackhouse and her various boyfriends.
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD
I found this book disappointing because while I was never a particular fan of Quinn, I like just about anyone better than the selfish Eric as Sookie's boyfriend. I do not understand how she could be attracted to, much less tolerate someone who treats everyone else so badly and only ever acts in his own self interest.
This novel also has some very gruesome violence, including against Sookie's sister-in-law and amongst the werewolves for whom Sookie acts as a mediator.
