The beautiful princess Giselle is banished from the animated land of Andalasia by the evil queen. She finds herself in the gritty streets of the real, modern-day Manhattan. See this movie! submitted by Cayla on July 29, 2016, 9:37am This is a Disney movie. This movie made me happy. There is a princess, a prince, animals that talk, an evil witch, a dad, and his daughter. In the beginning there is a cartoon princess, Giselle, who is in love with a prince whose name is Edward. She gets throw into real live and tries to navigate herself through New York City. In the end she finds her true love, you'll have to watch it to see who that is. This movie is fun because it's real and cartoon.

And My Eyes are Opened... submitted by gem on July 11, 2018, 1:00pm Wonderful movie. It does start as a cartoon and the premise seems a bit pushed. You know: Handsome guy is supposed to catch the beautiful girl, except the evil mother who doesn't want her son to be happy is busy behind the scene manipulating events. As is often the case when one tries to manipulate another person's life for their own selfish gain, the tables turned.
Giselle, the princess learned a lot about real life when she was exiled to New York by the wicked mother of the prince. Boy, was she in for a training! She learned not everything was song and sunshine, and non-wonderful things happen in real life that never do happen in the make-believe land. However, her perception really can change things for people and does in this movie. Giselle learns that who she thought was her true love may not be after all. Giselle herself is a fun character to watch. As an adult watching this movie, I gained many insights. I am sure children would gain a few insights and enjoy the movie too at the same time.
Like the little girl in the movie, everyone deserves someone to believe in them.

It's a good combination of Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, but with a modern twist.

It's got great music and the story is awesome. :)
