Grave submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on August 17, 2013, 10:01pm The mystery-solving prowess of Harper Connelly continues in this third book in the series about a psychic detective and her former-stepbrother-turned-business-partner Tolliver.

Harper was struck by lightening many years ago and, as a result, has the psychic ability to find corpses and know how they died. She solves numerous murders as a result with the help of her former step-brother Tolliver. Harper and Tolliver's parents are no longer married, so the two are technically no longer stepsiblings, which is good because their relationships starts to change.

While all the novels in this series are about murder this one is particularly gruesome and so I advise reader discretion.

This book does not contain vampire, werewolves, fairies or any other supernatural creatures besides the psychic herself. If you are looking for more of the Sookie Stackhouse books but with different characters, this one will disappoint you. If you are able to keep an open mind, though, you'll likely enjoy this one.
