In 2001, audiences first met and fell in love with a twelve-year-old criminal mastermind named Artemis Fowl. Since then, the series has sold over seven million copies in the United States alone. Now, this phenomenally successful series is being translated into a graphic novel format. Eoin Colfer has teamed up with established comic writer Andrew Donkin to adapt the text. For the first time, rabid fans will be able to see what Foaly's tin hat looks like; discover just how "Beet" Root got his name; and of course, follow their favorite criminal mastermind as he plots and connives in action-packed, full-color panels.

COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Amazing Graphic Novel submitted by 0liviap0pp on June 24, 2011, 2:10pm I love this graphic novel. The book goes right along with the plot of Artemis Fowl, and the illustrations are superb. I got this book as a summer reading program book after finishing the program, and I don't regret it. I really like the reflecting glasses on the cover.

Artemis Fowl submitted by Liz Orvis on July 14, 2011, 9:11pm I absolutely love this story, but I wasn't as impressed with the graphic novel. While it did go along with the story well, there were so many places where all the boxes were the same size and the view was the same, which really took away from the story telling. I must admit I was a little disappointed because I was really looking forward to this.

Great! submitted by Smileyfrowns on July 16, 2011, 12:23pm The graphic novel version will bring readers into the world of Artemis Fowl. Following the plot, and having amazing illustrations that match the characters, this is a hit,

Artemis Fowl submitted by Commander Taffy on July 19, 2011, 5:08pm This child prodigy has a dark side, all he needs is money to back it up.

Illustrations submitted by Bookbird on June 23, 2012, 3:48pm I was at first surprised by the illustrations. Some things did not look like what I expected, but I quickly learned to enjoy the original story. There's even some interesting extras!

Artemis fowl submitted by shalinigurl on July 3, 2012, 2:16pm graphic novel is good but i'm more of a novel type person not so much pictures more words is my type but it's still pretty good

Eh submitted by lec.dank on June 23, 2013, 7:29pm Not what I was expecting. They made Artemis look like a stuck up teenager.

Good submitted by wulfflynn on July 16, 2013, 7:01pm Great grapic novel!

Awesome!!!:) submitted by George Hoffmann on June 29, 2014, 11:55am I enjoyed reading "Artemis Fowl: the graphic novel" greatly, it was a complete page turner. This graphic novel was truly one of the best graphic novels I have ever read, it was almost as good as the book! I read this graphic novel a number of times and it was a delight to read each time.

Artemis Fowl submitted by wangaustin on June 21, 2016, 3:01pm A great book if you want to read about a rich, smart kid trying to mess around with the world.

Pretty good submitted by zmclaugh on July 30, 2018, 4:24pm I enjoyed this largely because I enjoy the novel. Not sure how I feel about the trend of making graphic novels that just retell books that have already been written.

Alright submitted by jw on June 16, 2019, 8:22am I really liked the graphic novel but the character was portrayed as a stuck up

Alright submitted by c_zhang on June 28, 2019, 2:38pm I didn't really like the graphic novel portrayal of Artemis, but the story's decent.
