Friendship. Jealousy. "The near enemy." Outsiderness. Similarities woven through three relationships yet different characters react differently (Madelyn(sp?)-Hazel, Gamache and Brebeuf, Clara and Peter).
Three (nitpicky!) things bothered me:
- They got toxicology results super fast (<24 hrs). The death was on Easter Sunday; would they have toxicology results on Monday?
- Ephedra / ginkgo mixup -- pretty big mistake for such an important detail
- would there be baby robins in early/mid April? Seems early for a northern climate. (One year we had robins nesting outside our window and those hatched in June)
