Haley Graham is a rebellious ex-gymnast-turned-juvenile delinquent who is forced to enroll at an elite gymnastics academy, the VGA in Houston, Texas. The facility is run by the legendary Olympic gymnast Burt Vickerman. But Haley is not welcomed into the academy by the other gymnasts who despise her for walking out on her Junior Olympic team years earlier during a competition, costing them the gold medal. Vickerman takes it upon himself to coach Haley in his own way to make her regain her self respect just in time for the VGA's upcoming competition at the Gymnastic Nationals.

more than just a sports/ coming of age film.. submitted by irenzero on July 22, 2021, 9:27am Stick it plays with the tropes of a Dance/sports film of the era.. but what sets it apart is the filming of the gymnastics which approachBusby Berkeley at points imagery at points and the way the film plays out comments on the sports establishment in the say way that Josie and the Pussycats commented on the music industry.. and it is an enjoyable watch.. check it out..
