Nice Relaxing Summer Read submitted by imracom on June 16, 2014, 1:46pm This story is a perfect read for summer. Fun, powerful, and a great bond between two friends.

Well done, and worth the read submitted by Susan4Pax -prev. sueij- on August 20, 2017, 8:15am Kristin Hannah's books always throw me because they are handed to me by my mom or sister in a pile of romances. I always pick them up expecting a hero and heroine who will have some hard time and then get their "happily ever after." But that's not what she writes.

_Firefly Lane_ is the story of two friends through a lifetime of joy and laughter, tears and offenses, being inseparable and falling apart and then coming back together. Sometimes I wanted to shake the girls/women and say, "In everything you share and talk about, tell her about *this*!" But of course, everyone has their little secrets or insecurities, and there are things we don't tell even our closest confidant. The ending caught me completely off guard, and I continue to find myself thinking back to it: it was that powerful.

Well done, and worth the read.

Not Bad submitted by lballard on June 15, 2018, 12:38pm This is a summer beach read.
It feels a bit regressive with the idea that if you really love someone, you’ll throw away your career for him, but without any corresponding expectation that he’d throw it away if he really loved you.
Still it’s an enjoyable book about best friends, even if not very deep.

Good submitted by TLW1998 on July 28, 2019, 8:00pm A good book about a friendship between two girls that spans 30 years

Good, however submitted by cldaniels on July 20, 2021, 3:50pm Great book sbout friendship, yet with too many similarities to the movie Beaches.

Wonderful book! submitted by leah karr on August 11, 2022, 10:41pm This was a fast read. Some parts have stuck with me 3 years later.Read it before you watch it on screen
