Deceptively Sweet submitted by Meginator on August 24, 2020, 6:59pm This album showcases Nellie McKay at the height of her powers, her deceptively sweet vocal stylings and peppy brand of classic pop disguising some truly biting lyrical content. McKay excels at this ironic blend and is in top form here; this album is a great place to start if you’re unfamiliar with her music. My only complaint is that, with only nine tracks, this album is too short.
