Bridging the Decades submitted by Meginator on August 21, 2021, 8:29am This album feels like a bridge between 70s classic rock and the harder edge that would come in during the 80s, with hints of the intricate guitar solos that would characterize hair and glam metal. The songs generally follow a standard structure but the second track, “Eruption”, is a two-minute guitar solo that feels cutting-edge and futuristic even in the context of the rest of the album. The music feels fairly tame by today’s standards but you can actually hear the innovation happening in real time as the band stretches the limits of rock and roll to create something new.
