D.A. by Connie Willis
submitted by wfzimmerman on July 10, 2008, 7:37am
This was a very nice YA novella. I wish it had been full-length -- she's really good in this genre.
My only complaint is that when the character learns the meaning of the term "D.A.", she should learn something of its history.
A bracing Brin-like approach to competition and education.
A teen explores space submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on August 21, 2012, 11:52am Although short, this book is a fun read about two teens who don't simply accept what adults hand them and who can solve any problem they face. The book is set in a future in which space travel is common but those who want to join the government's space exploration program must get involved very early.
