She's Come a Long Way submitted by Meginator on July 11, 2011, 5:59pm While I firmly count myself a fan of Moore's earlier, more poppy and peppy work, it continually amazes me how much she's matured, and how well. Her talents are showcased brilliantly on this album, which maintains a low-key, soulful air throughout while remaining true to Moore's roots in the pop genre. While none of these tracks are crafted to be chart-topping hits, for me that's a welcome relief after the modern hit parade of so-so singles, and skeptics should give this and Moore's follow-up effort a listen. The results will hopefully surprise you.
