It's not exactly Calvin + Hobbes classic, but it is a whole box of fun for at least one read. One of my favorite sequences is the piece of paper that gets passed around listing all the popular kids, but it doesn't have enough lines for Greg to see where he and the other middle-of-the-pack kids rank in the eyes of their middle school peers. And Cheese Touch is pretty classic. The scenarios feel real like they're based on the author's childhood or maybe kids he's talked with, but the real prize here is Greg's realistically flawed responses to the situations he "finds" himself in (read: creates for himself).

Laughs for all ages submitted by karaelise on June 29, 2011, 7:20pm If you get the “cheese touch,” you can only get rid of it by passing it on to someone else…it’s like the cooties. This is where Jeff Kinney’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid truly takes off with hilarity, and it does not stop until you put the book down. Greg Heffley is an average middle school kid, whose mom suggested that he keep a diary, only Greg insists it’s not a “diary,” but a “journal.” Greg writes about his whole school year, and readers get to go along for the ride. Greg spends his time taking advantage of his best friend, Rowley, and being tormented by his older brother, Rodrick. His concern about his popularity never wanes during the school year, as he is forced to wrestle and be in the school musical. The action reaches a boiling point when Rowley starts ignoring Greg, and a battle for his best friend commences.
Greg encounters situations familiar to any middle school student, and describes them in a voice that will have anyone from 4th grade through adulthood heartily laughing. Anyone who has been through school can relate to him, as can anyone who loves to sleep in on the weekends when he states, “The only reason I get out of bed at all on weekends is because eventually, I can’t stand the taste of my own breath anymore.” Every page of the book is lined and it appears as if Greg has truly written the journal. Black and white cartoon illustrations, which are like mini comic strips, appear on every page and serve to further Greg’s story or make a comedic point. With a strong voice and a fast-moving Seinfeld-like plot, this book is sure to please the most reluctant readers and appeal to all age groups. Recommended for grades 4 and up.

I begin to read up every series as it came up, I already ate up the 6th one, which was

Thee teenagers even come at there school to beat them up but gerg is lucky but rowley is not. So when they go trick o treating they find the teenagers but by luck they get into there grandmothers home. So now that means that they are playing hide and seek.
