Her sense of tempo and timing are wonderful, crafted from years on NPR's This American Life radio show. This is in my opinion her best and most exciting work, where she reveals her gift for creating connections between ages and people, bringing her humor and wit to bear on the bleakest of topics - assassination of the President. Fun historical tidbits that you'll enjoy sharing with your friends abound, like about figures like Robert Todd Lincoln, or the titillating origins of Oneida dinnerware.

Vowell makes the listener feel transported with her on her journey, as she revisits the stark history of these assassins.
