Funny, a bit short, still worth a shot submitted by dimuziom on June 15, 2013, 10:33pm This is a very short picture book that features some fun word play. The colorful and playful illustrations show kids how the same few words can mean very different things (apple, pear, orange, bear vs. apple, pear, orange bear). The short length means you probably won't get hours of entertainment for your kids out of it, but it's still enjoyable for what it is.

Clever and fun submitted by romanticmind on August 19, 2013, 7:32pm I picked this book up randomly to entertain my toddler on a trip to the library and was surprised how much I like it! There's very few words (just four in fact--Orange Pear Apple and Bear in different combinations) but it has a great sense of humor about it. I'm definitely thinking about buying a copy to keep, I liked it so much!

Simple and fun submitted by kathscot on June 18, 2017, 8:53pm Surprisingly entertaining for so simple a book. My 2-year-old grandson loved it.

a bear of few words submitted by FordAlpha on August 24, 2019, 9:58pm With just five different words repeated in different combinations, and charming watercolor illustrations, Emily Gravett conveys the magical possibilities of language. There is no real plot, and this is not a book that will hold kids' attention for long, but it doesn't need to. It's just a simple, gently humorous piece for the littlest listen-and-lookers.

Cute submitted by ssmounia on August 30, 2019, 2:44pm Cute book for babies
