This book is great

This book is good, but the boy doesn't achieve his goals.

Peak is a great book! About friendship, survival, problems in life and life or death. Peak is an amazing book filled with actions and survival. I couldn't stop reading it!

Lots of adventure in this book

Good Adventure Story

This is a good adventure story with a likeable character and plenty of action. There are several good coming-of-age realizations, all of which seem less like an after-school special with the spectacular backdrop of Everest's base camp and advanced camps. The book is paced well, with an impressive summit scene and major decision at the climax, and that's where I'm torn.

It's fine, it is, especially in a youth book whose audience is far less likely to know how completely impossible the whole scene is. Impossible! You're so small, main characters! The impact of high altitude on your tiny bodies should be debilitating! Stop taking off your gloves and then not getting frostbite!

Ultimately, I have to say it's a good book. The technical details aside, I would probably consider it a very good book.
