Not for me submitted by lisapt on August 3, 2011, 9:28pm I just couldn't embrass the lifestyle presented in this book. I own my own business, so I hoped this book would give me some pointers I could use. Instead the book talked about how great it is to dump the nasty work of life on to the poor little people and other stuff I just don't want to do. I just don't think I'm wired to enjoy being a part of the new rich.
Definitely a must-read

I actually think everyone should read this book. It's full of important ideas about following our dreams, working a 9-5, trying to get rich, avoiding time-wasting, becoming a life-long learner, starting a business, finding our true calling, traveling the world, managing a work-life balance, retiring, saving money, living in the moment, spending more time with our friends and family, and many more.
I don't subscribe to everything in the book at all but I think it's a great jumping off point to later expand on these ideas and to make a plan that fits my life and values. I won't be starting an As-Seen-On-TV plastic crap sales business or taking a 4-month trip to Thailand any time soon but I'm 100% sure that something great will come from this knowledge somewhere down the road.
I'm surprised that the library only has 1 copy. This book was and is very popular and could definitely be life-changing in the right hands.
4 hour work week submitted by crp on August 22, 2019, 12:28am not realistic for most people
Why 9 to 5 Doesn't Make Any Sense submitted by sVfGI7Glt2pz7GZgVB90 on August 19, 2020, 10:32pm Attests how far you could stretch their potential. You can automate your income, freeing up time to attempt your passions while traveling the world. The pretentious title turned off many people, but I assume this book will stand as a marker in a sweeping change in the way we work.
