funny movie! submitted by manz on July 6, 2011, 4:21pm This film is a summer classic! Classic Akroyd and Candy. Two very different families share a week together in the wilderness. That weekend they get sunburned, learn the truth about hot dogs, share family secrets, and support each other in their own wacky way. Chet Ripley is another fun-loving, goofy character played wonderfully by John Candy. Grab the mosquito spray, watch out for bats, and delve into this goodie.

Of course John Candy was appreciated much too late for his genius acting and comedy, but this movie is so totally hilarious and family oriented eighties style. Akroyd is the best as Uncle Roman. Memorable scenes and great quotes to tagalong.
