a twist on the familiar submitted by camelsamba on July 4, 2016, 10:53pm We listened to this as a book on CD while driving up north. It was quite fun - my boys repeatedly asked me to pause the story so they could make predictions about how matters might resolve. There was just enough of a twist on familiar tales that allowed for a combination of anticipation and insight. This would probably also happen in a read-aloud setting, so it would make for good bedtime reading with an older child.
