This author sucks you in, mangles you, and spits you out at the end of the book, a better person submitted by unknown on June 23, 2018, 12:10pm Books generally don't make me cry, but this story set in during WWII did. Peck develops his characters and makes you care and love them, and it sneaks up on you. When they are put in peril, or temporarily lost, or endure troubles, you're on the edge of your seat. He brings tension to the point where you finally shed tears and cry out...Amazing author, awarded multiple awards for his writing, and a prolific writer. Highly recommend.
