1880's mystery submitted by unknown on November 21, 2008, 10:39am This is a very enjoyable mystery. It takes place in Victorian England. With a lively heroine and an unlikely flawed hero. This story has great character development of leading and minor characters. The details of the mystery is something that I didn't know much about. I like the quotations at the beginning of each chapter. I suspect that I will look up the sources of a couple of the lines. The author's double majors in History and English is clear. This book is well written, with high drama and low comedy This is the first book in the series, the second has been published. It's going to be interesting to continue to learn about these characters.
