Interesting and insightful

An interesting and insightful book. I enjoyed it more as the author moved past his early childhood and into his young adulthood and present, I think because he was more able to describe his own thoughts than tell stories based on others' memories.
But regardless, seeing the world from others' perspective is what we read books for, right? And both in the straightforward writing style and the very clear way that Tammet is able to describe how he sees the world, how he learns, how he interacts (or doesn't) with people (both those he knows well and those who are new to him), what it takes for him to travel to new places, and all the other aspects of living that he describes from the perspective of himself as a man with autism, we are invited to learn of another way. He makes this way accessible. It is fascinating, insightful, and well done
Great insight into the Autism Spectrum Disorder submitted by Xris on June 16, 2018, 7:46pm I like to learn about how other people see the world and this was insightful, especially because I work with students on the spectrum.
