COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Excellent, fast-moving submitted by rats on March 19, 2008, 5:40pm This Elvis Cole mystery focuses more on his business partner Joe Pike than on Elvis. I read it in one day as it moves so quickly and intensely. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Crais has evolved into a superb crime novelist. His characters are well-developed and imagined, his dialogue excellent and varied, and he doesn't overwrite. I've been encountering many mediocre mysteries lately by well-known and popular authors. This one renewed my faith in the gentre.

A Joe Pike novel submitted by heapah on June 17, 2017, 7:47pm This one is for the Joe Pike fans as the story revolves primarily around his character, with Elvis Cole as a secondary character. Joe Pike: the eternal protector. Robert Crais does a great job of developing interesting characters. Great read!
