This is an excellent book. It is, I think, an edited transcript of a lecture series given by the author. If you're interested in astronomy or the "search for god," your in good company with Carl Sagan. Sagan frames the questions surrounding the inconsistencies in the notion of a cosmic creator with respect, kindness and sublime curiosity.
That's all. Go read the book.
