COMMUNITY REVIEWS
I had to buy it... submitted by Kikumatsu97 on July 27, 2015, 7:39pm This is a great Robert Downey Jr. Movie. I love the role he plays. I think this script is really well thought out and well executed by the actors and director. Thanksgiving and Christmas are depicted in a really unusual way. I love this movie.
HFTH submitted by a2sue on July 26, 2017, 9:03am Home for the Holidays has some funny moments.
A Slice of Life Thanksgiving Film submitted by Meginator on August 17, 2020, 11:28pm This is very much a slice-of-life film; though it may take a moment to adjust to its tone and quick-fire dialogue, the experience is worth the effort. Holly Hunter leads an excellent cast in this Thanksgiving tale that resists neatly wrapped plotlines and instead offers a more accurate portrait of family that, while supportive and loving, has its own unique longstanding conflicts. The humor is often wry and hidden under layers of dialogue, but the script and performances are genuine and offer something quite different than standard saccharine Hollywood holiday fare.
