From the writer of Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, Boy Meets Boy takes place in a sort of gaytopia of acceptance in anywhere, USA.
I adored this book. I listened to a full-cast audio recording of it, which I can only imagine heightened the humor and sadness of
the story. I found myself smiling from ear to ear and squealing when something exciting happened. I would have given anything to attend this high school.
The language has hints of Diablo Cody, with lines such as:
"we have a compatible randomness"
"as if I know the lyrics to a song called She's All Mouth"
"I like him with his mouth shut"
Brilliant.
