Joy of Cooking submitted by i'm a blobfish on June 28, 2019, 10:16pm Use of nice, important techniques. You really relearn how to cook from this book. You should really read this book if you are just getting into cooking, you can catch up in no time.

Kitchen mainstay submitted by Bakalm on August 2, 2019, 4:43pm This book is a kitchen fixture for good reason. There are recipes and techniques for everything. If nothing else, a look at this before you start will point you in the right direction, whether that be for skinning a hare (really), making hard candy or baking a loaf of sandwich bread. A well-earned classic.
